Babylon Junior-Senior High School is proud to announce Cassidy Hayes as valedictorian and Finn Chatterton as salutatorian for the class of 2026. The honors recognize the students’ respective academic and leadership achievements. 

Cassidy achieved a remarkable GPA of 105.32. In addition to her exemplary academics, Cassidy has been a standout athlete and leader. She served as captain of both the varsity track and field and varsity cross country teams, and also competed on the varsity swim team. Cassidy also served as vice president of the student council and secretary of the class cabinet. Outside of school, she works as a lifeguard and plays club soccer. She will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she plans to major in Mathematics.

Finn Chatterton earned a GPA of 104.90. Finn has balanced academics with a variety of extracurricular and work commitments. He is a member of the robotics team, plays drums in jazz band, and belongs to the National Honor Society and Science Honor Society. He also works at Katch at Venetian Shores and tutors with GET Tutoring Services. He will attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) to major in Mechanical Engineering.

"It is always a pleasure to recognize our top students each year," said Babylon Junior-Senior High School Principal Al Cirone. "Watching Cassidy and Finn dedicate themselves and grow into young leaders has been truly inspiring. They have set a wonderful example for their peers through their hard work, character, and commitment to excellence, and we could not be prouder of all they have accomplished."
