Babylon's winter sports teams delivered an outstanding season, highlighted by championship performances on the county and state levels. The student-athletes were recently honored at the April Board of Education meeting for their exceptional accomplishments.

In wrestling, senior Erik Desmond captured a Suffolk County Championship and went on to place No. 6 in the New York State Championships. Fellow wrestler Lucas Norinder also claimed a Suffolk County Championship, capping off a dominant season for the program. Additionally, the varsity girls basketball team brought home the Suffolk County Class B Championship, showcasing teamwork and determination throughout their playoff run.

"These student-athletes and their coaches put in a tremendous amount of hard work and displayed major talent this season," said District Director of Health, PE and Athletics Michael DeJoseph. "Their discipline and commitment to excellence truly embodied what it means to be a Babylon Panther."
