Babylon High School Seniors Named Commended Students

Babylon Junior-Senior High School is proud to announce that seniors Jackson Maurino and Jamisyn Cerny have been recognized as Commended Students in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Competition.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation identifies academically talented students across the United States based on their outstanding academic records, involvement in school activities, and performance on the Preliminary SAT and National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Out of 1.5 million students nationwide who entered the competition for the 2024-2025 school year, Jackson and Jamisyn are among just 34,000 to receive the Commended Student designation. This honor earns them a letter of recognition for use in college applications and makes them eligible for additional scholarships.
