Hello! Welcome to the BES art room!

This is the springboard for every little artist in Babylon Schools. I make sure that each of our students has the time and materials necessary for them to experience various mediums of art. They will explore all the elements of art (line, shape, space, value, texture, and form) thorugh watercolor, collage, tempra paint, clay-sculpture, mixed media, and more. As our srtudents vednture from kindergarden through 2^nd grade, we will delve into these topics more and more as each year progresses. Kindergatden is an introduction, dive deeper in 1^st grade, and age appropriate mastery in 2^nd grade.

I’ve been teaching art since 2001 and I thoughroughly enjoy weaving art history within our curriculum so our students can gain a well rounded perspective on the field of art. Some artist that we study are: Georgia O’Keeffe, Andy Warhol, Vincent VanGough, Claude Monet, Henri Rousseau, Alma Thomas, Kieth Haring, Pablo Picasso, and Romero Britto.
